We were pleased to welcome to our annual Christmas Concert this year 12 members of St John's Brass from St John's Methodist Church Hereford led by Hal Bottomley, along with 40 singers including St Mary's Singers (our own church choir augmented with guests), Ann Cam School Singers, The Maybelles and Canto. The Maybells are a group of six older girls and Canto a smaller group derived from our 'Young Voices' (Junior Church Choir) led by our Musical Director, Bob May. (Return to top)

The wide-ranging programme based around the Christmas theme included performances from each of our groups individually and together, as well as 3 well-known carols for the audience to join in with. Included were: Winter Wonderland and Jingle Bells from the band, the jazz-style Santa Baby from the Maybelles and swing-style Midnight from Canto. Two readings were given, one of poetry by members of Ann Cam school and a spoof on a computer room visited by Santa Claus from Marion Allan, a member of our congregation. (Return to top)
